Quick reference

Professional flow limiter Mk1

version 2022/06

#8021, #8063, #8065

  1. Connect the Professional Flow Limiter Mk1 to the fitting of your cylinder valve. Stay in a safe direction. Do not stand in the direction of the gas flow.

  2. For the first use, or after the nozzle has been turned clockwise to a hard stop, turn the gas sampling nozzle counterclockwise several turns.

  3. Slowly open the cylinder valve. Gas should be flowing through the device, you may not hear it once the hose is attached. Correct flow rate is 0.2-0.4 lpm.

  4. Connect your analyzer to the gas sampling nozzle via the Connection hose #8009 (not included).

  5. Take your measurements.

  6. Close the cylinder valve.

  7. Turn the relief valve screw clockwise to vent the remaining gas from the device. Do not unscrew the relief valve all the way out to prevent the stainless steel ball from falling out.*

  8. Turn the gas sampling nozzle counterclockwise ¼ - ½ turn to return it to a sampling position for the next use.

  9. Disconnect the device from cylinder valve.

*It is not necessary to turn the nozzle clockwise to a hard stop, doing so will completely halt flow if desired.
