Barry McGill is an Irish based technical diving instructor and a keen deep wreck explorer. Barry has been technical diving since 2002 and has been qualified on CCR since 2005. Barry first became interested in technical wreck diving when reading a book on the S.S. Laurentic – The Gold Bullion Ship that lies just off his native Donegal. Since his first adventure on this classic wreck, his passion for exploration and wreck diving has been fuelled by the vast marine history that surrounds the Irish coastline. Exploring famous shipwrecks such as the R.M.S. Justicia and H.M.S. Audacious left a major impression on Barry. Barry has been part of numerous expeditions exploring the wrecks including the discovery of the H.M.S. Curacao in 125 metres and the White Star Liner Carinthia in 116 metres. He has also photographed many un-photographed shipwrecks including H.M.S. Viknor and H.M.S. D6. He has also been part of a number of expeditions to the R.M.S. Lusitania and many other classic and virgin shipwrecks. In 2021, Barry was part of the Explorers Club supported project, which aimed to explore the inside the wreck of HMHS Britannic, which lies in 120 m for the very first time. Barry has diving bases in both Limerick and Donegal Ireland, which allows access to the amazing shipwrecks of Malin Head as well as sheltered inland dive sites when weather isn’t favourable. Training can be conducted on a 1-1 basis or in small groups. Barry is willing to train in other locations on request.

Barry McGill is an Irish based technical diving instructor and a keen deep wreck explorer. Barry has been technical diving since 2002 and has been qualified on CCR since 2005. Barry first became interested in technical wreck diving when reading a book on the S.S. Laurentic – The Gold Bullion Ship that lies just off his native Donegal. Since his first adventure on this classic wreck, his passion for exploration and wreck diving has been fuelled by the vast marine history that surrounds the Irish coastline. Exploring famous shipwrecks such as the R.M.S. Justicia and H.M.S. Audacious left a major impression on Barry. Barry has been part of numerous expeditions exploring the wrecks including the discovery of the H.M.S. Curacao in 125 metres and the White Star Liner Carinthia in 116 metres. He has also photographed many un-photographed shipwrecks including H.M.S. Viknor and H.M.S. D6. He has also been part of a number of expeditions to the R.M.S. Lusitania and many other classic and virgin shipwrecks. In 2021, Barry was part of the Explorers Club supported project, which aimed to explore the inside the wreck of HMHS Britannic, which lies in 120 m for the very first time. Barry has diving bases in both Limerick and Donegal Ireland, which allows access to the amazing shipwrecks of Malin Head as well as sheltered inland dive sites when weather isn’t favourable. Training can be conducted on a 1-1 basis or in small groups. Barry is willing to train in other locations on request.

Jeff Bozanic has been diving since 1972, and became a dive instructor in 1978. His experiences include leading or participating in over 60 diving expeditions over the past 40 years which have taken him to places like Palau, the Canary Islands, Mexico, and Antarctica. Bozanic literally wrote the book on how to use a rebreather. His textbook Mastering Rebreathers has been used by countless students and dive instructors alike. He’s also published extensively on diving education topics, with a strong emphasis on cave and rebreather diving. I have been diving since the age of 15, now some 32+ years later I have been to some of the most amazing diving locations in the world. I have taught for some of the largest dive centers in the U.K including running the training side of our business. After teaching I started to travel and used my instructor qualifications to make this possible. In later years I settled down in The Canary Islands, where I owned my own dive center for 10 years. This gave me the opportunity to further my own diving. Looking into new and more demanding types of diving, including the use of technical diving equipment and rebreathers, this allowed me to make more advanced wreck and cave dives, to greater depths. I am Deep wreck diver and currently the Chef Technical Examiner for the BSAC. I was involved with Technical diving before it came into the UK, with IANTD in the USA, I was the First recreational diver in the UK to purchase a production ECCR rebreather this was Cislunar MK5 rebreather in 1996, and have been diving a number of rebreathers for more than 24years, my passion is deep wreck diving and have been part of, or leading numerous deep wreck diving expeditions over the years, to the lakes of RMS Egypt 128m, HMS Victoria 146m, and the RMS Lusitania 90m. I live in Berkshire in the UK with my wife Frances who is also deep rebreather diver (on the Liberty and Inspiration) her longest dive to date 146m for 6.5 hours in water Frances acts as my assistant instructor when I am teaching.
